06/12/2015, 3 Alarm Dwelling, Lawrence Twp. Cumberland County NJ, 933 Hogbin Rd.
In the evening of June 12, 2015, Cedarville Fire co. Along with Gouldtown Fire Co, Bridgeton Fire Co, Downe Twp. Fire Co. and Lawrence Twp. EMS were dispatched to 933 Hogbin Rd. for a reported working dwelling fire. Ladder 17 arrived with a 2 story dwelling, fully involved, and requested the 2nd alarm struck. This brought additional units from Rosenhayn, Millville, and Dividing Creek. to the scene. As crews faced water supply issues, and heavy fire conditions, command requested the third alarm struck, bringing units from Mauricetown, Laurel Lake, Port Norris, and Seabrook. Due to the extreme temps, command requested rehab 13 to the scene. Once a water supply was established, mulitiple hand lines and ladder 17's master stream was placed in service to knock down the fire. The fire was placed under control at the 70min mark. Crews remained on location for several hours wetting down any hot spots. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Crews battled the fire with 5 Engines, 2 Ladders, 8 Tenders, 1 Rescue, 1 Brush Truck, 2 BLS units, and 8 Fire Police units.
