In the evening hours of June 15, 2020, the Laurel Lake Fire and EMS, along with Mauricetown Fire, and Life Support 6, were dispatched to the area of 1746 Keron Dr. for a reported mvc with possible entrapment. Units responding were advised that the callers were reporting a vehicle vs tree, 1 patient entrapped and partially ejected. Units arrived with a single vehicle mvc, vs a pole and tree, confirming entrapment and requested the helicopter to fly. Engine 1201 was then diverted to set up the LZ for JeffStat 4, at the Laurel Lake recreational area. Crews went in service, quickly extricating the patient. ALS on scene recalled the helicopter. The patient was then transported by ground to a local hospital. The accident also caused a power outage in the area. No additional injuries were reported. NJSP is investigating the crash.
