In the evening hours of Feb. 21, 2020, Vineland Engine 3, Engine 6, Rescue 1, Sq 6, Life Support 2, and Newfield Engine 4812, were dispatched to the area of N. Delsea Dr and W Weymouth Rd for a reported Commercial MVC with Possible Entrapment. Dispatch advised responding units that multiple callers reported a tractor trailer vs a car and a van, possibly multiple entrapped, one unconscious. Engine 6 arrived Reported MVC to be at N Delsea and Regina Elena Ave. Command reported a 3 vehicle MVC, involving a tractor trailer, 1 patient trapped, unconscious, 3 patient total. Ems on scene requested the helicopter to fly. Engine 4812 and Engine 33 were diverted to set up the LZ at Kroelinger Airport. Crews quickly extricated the patient, who was transported by Cooper 1 to a local trauma center. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
