In the early morning hours of Dec. 18, 2019, Bridgeton Fire and EMS were dispatched to the area of 70 Bank St. for a reported dwelling fire. Dispatch advised that PD reporting fire from the rear of the dwelling, and upgraded the working fire box. This added Gouldtown Engine 1501, Cedarville Ladder 17, and Millville Engine 34 as the RIC. Engine 7 arrived on location, reporting fire showing from a 2.5 story dwelling. Crews placed lines in service, making good progress. Command requested additional manpower to the scene, adding Hopewell - Stow Creek Engine 2101, and Seabrook Engine 3202 to the call. Crews extinguished the fire, and reported all searches negative. Units remained on scene, well into the morning, preforming extensive overhaul. Upper Deerfield EMS, and Bridgeton PD, also assisted at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
