07/27/2017, All Hands Dwelling, Vineland City, Cumberland County NJ, 1034 Mars Pl.
In the early morning hours of, July 27, 2017, Vineland Engine 11, Engine 61, Tower 6, Ladder 2, and Sq. 6, were dispatched to the area of 1034 Mars Pl. for a reported working dwelling fire. Due to the report of a working fire, Engine 31, and Ladder 4, were added to the call. Engine 61 arrived with heavy smoke showing, fire showing from the rear, of a 2 story dwelling. Crews placed 2 lines in service, quickly knocking the bulk of the fire. Ladder crews opened the roof, as interior crews extinguished the remaining fire. No injuries were reported. The fire was deemed suspicious, after the words "you will die" were found spray painted on the side of the house. The fire is under investigation. Cumberland County Red Cross, and Vineland PD also assisted at the scene. Rosenhayn Engine 29-01, covered the city for the duration of the call.
