On Feb. 24, 2017, Norma Alliance Fire and EMS, Sta. & Sq. 24, were dispatched to Almond Rd. at Parvin State Park, for a water rescue assignment. Caller reported an overturned kayaks, with 3 patients in the water. Vineland City, Marine 6 was then added to the call. Crews removed the patients, uninjured, from the water. It was reported that the kayakers were frightened or attacked by swan, which caused their kayaks to overturn. NJSP and NJ Park Police, also assisted at the scene.
