In the late night hours of Feb. 9, 2017, Bridgeton Fire & EMS were dispatched to 86 Cedar St. Apt. 2, for a reported dwelling fire. Responding units were advised that the caller was reporting a possible attic fire. BLS 7-29 arrived and reported smoke showing from the front of the dwelling. Ladder 7-05 arrived shortly after, and reported smoke showing from the 3rd floor of a 3 story multi family dwelling. Command requested the working fire box be filled. This added Engine 15-01 (Gouldtown), Engine 34 (Millville City), Ladder 17 (Cedarville), and Bridgeton paid firefighters to the scene. Interior crews made quick work of the fire, recalling Sta. 17. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Bridgeton PD also assisted at the scene.
