On May 29, 2009, Bridgeton City Fire and EMS Sta. 7 were dispatched to North Pearl St. for a reported working dwelling. Units arrived with smoke showing form a 3 story dwelling. Command requested the 2nd alarm struck. Crews made quick work of the fire. Units from Gouldtown Fire Co. Sta. 15, Hopewell Stow Creek Fire Co. Sta. 21, Rosenhayn Fire Co. Sta. 29, Cedarville Fire Co. Sta. 17, and Vineland Fire Co. Sta. 6 also responded to the scene.
