On April 17, 2009, Camden Fire Co. was dispatched to Marlton rd. for a reported building fire. Units arrived with heavy smoke showing from a strip mall and requested the all hands struck. With heavy fire conditions, command requested the 2nd alarm struck. Crews reported heavy fire spreading throughout the strip mall. Command sounded the evacuation tones. Command requested the 3rd and 4th alarms struck as heavy fire consumed the building. Numerous lines and ladder pipes were placed in service. Crews battled the fire for an extended period of time before placing it under control. Units remained on location for some time wetting down the hot spots.
