On July 10, 2013, Dividing Creek Fire Co. Sta. 18, along with Port Norris Sta. 11, Mauricetown Sta. 12, Downe Twp. Sta. 39, Fairton EMS Sq. 16, and Millville EMS Sq. 98, were dispatched to the area of 919 Main St. for a reported working dwelling. Units arrived with heavy fire showing from the rear of the dwelling. Due to heavy fire conditions, command requested the 2nd alarm struck, bringing units from Fairton, Leesburg, Port Elizabeth, Laurel Lake, Cedarville, and Belleplain EMS. Tower 11 was placed in service to vent the roof. Command reported heavy fire venting from the attic. Ladder 17 was moved to the "D" side of the building to gain access to fire in the roof. After extensive operations, the fire was brought under control. Due to the oppressive heat, command requested the Salvation Army Canteen Unit to the scene for rehab. Engine 12-01 and Heislerville Tender 25-11 were dispatched to cover the area. NJSP, and Cumberland County Fire Police Sta. 87, state FM, Red Cross, and county Prosecutors Office, also assisted at the scene. The fire is still under investigation.
